Suddenly a block that I have used hundreds of times doesn't function correctly.

It is a drawing title block with attributes.  I click to edit it's attributes and receive the message that the block has no editable attributes.  If I insert it fresh I am able to change att.'s but once inserted in drawing I cannot change.

It is not on a locked layer.

Any ideas?
