I have a question about reusing existing operations in new workplans.

Use case:

Customer has standardised operations, that always take the same time and use the same resources.

Question is:

Should they make copies of these operations or should they just reuse those existing ones?

As far as I know, items implement links exist on Workplan level that has a link to an MBOM structure. Therefore a single operation can be used in multiple workplans and implement different items in each of them.

The only problem would be work instructions. As far as I know, operation needs to be in an In Work state to be available for work instructions authoring.

How is this supposed to be handled?

I’m using MGA and WIR roles for this use case.
