Issue with Part Positioning in Process Planning with PPR Context

Hi everyone,

I am currently working on Process Planning in DELMIA and have run into an issue regarding Part Position within an Operation.

Goal: I want to change the working position of only the specific items assigned to a particular Operation using Part Position.

Here is what I have tried and the issues I am facing:

1. Using 'Part Position'

  • Behavior: In the authoring/working screen, the items move correctly based on the same Robot coordinate system.
  • The Issue: However, once the generation is complete and I verify the final output, each item moves based on its own local reference coordinates instead. This causes the items to scatter and shift to different, unintended locations.

2. Using 'Operation Position'

  • Behavior: All items move consistently using the same reference coordinate system.
  • The Issue: The problem is that it moves not only the items assigned to the current operation but also the previously assigned, "built-up" items from earlier steps.

Since Operation Position impacts the entire sequence's build-up, it seems I must use Part Position. However, I cannot figure out how to prevent the items from deviating based on their individual local coordinates after simulation completion.

Has anyone encountered this issue before? Is there a specific setting or workflow to ensure Part Position retains the shared robot coordinate system in the final results? Or is there a way to isolate the Operation Position shift to only newly assigned items?

Any insights or workarounds would be greatly appreciated.
