Hello Delmia Community,

I am student at the Trier University of Applied Sciences and recently we are facing certain issues when it comes to saving tools inserted into a pprcontext. We are using tool catalogues so that every student has access to the tools our university owns. Only the administrator has writing permissions so that the students may load the tools into their pprcontext but may not change the tools by accident (same goes for the machines we are using).

When inserting a tool into a pprcontext it is possible to save the pprcontext and the cell since neither the machine has been changed nor the tools have. After mounting a tool onto the machine saving is not possible anymore (without writing permissions) because the 3DX says some "child data needs to be saved". So each time I want to save a pprcontext in which I used tools from a tool catalogue I need to exclude the tools from the saving process. I recorded the problem in the video below and took a screenshot of the error message. The objects "Maschinenseite" and "Werkstückseite" the error message is referring to are the publications used in the tool to determine the base point and the machine side axis. In my opinion it does not make sense that they are changed because they should only be set coincident with the machine's mechanical ports...

By the way the saving issue does not occur with every tool and it does not occur evertime when using the same tool... Even when saving was done successfully the one day the problem might occur the next day in the same pprcontext.

Hopefully anyone has encountered a situation like this or has any idea how to solve it.
