Hello,
I am student at the University of Applied Sciences in Trier (Germany) and currently creating a postprocessor (CENIT) for large scale 3D-printer (3DPXL) which was build in former student projects. We own the machine model and want to print part operations we created in the 3DExperience using the APT file generated by the 3DExperience which we translate into g-code. For now we are using g-code generated by Simplify3D.
The problem I have is that our controller (Beckhoff) needs the value of extruded filament (as a unit of lenght) between two points (which does NOT equal the path difference between those two points!) to start calculating the needed volumetric flow and rotating the extruder screw. It can also be explained as the imaginary extruder axis. Simplify3D however generates that parameter (we named it "Q", but usually it is named "E") in ever NC line, as you can see in the screenshot below. The APT file generated by the 3DExperience does not contain that certain value, it only contains "MELTING/ON" and "MELTING/OFF" as pp words instead.
My question: Where can I activate the output of that parameter? Does it even exist by now?
If you need further information about the parameter I am searching for, go ahead and answer me below.
Thank you in advance!
