I downloaded SolidWorks from the server address my school gave me. Then, I rented a 30-day license from the SolidWorks License Manager application. A week after renting, I had to reset my computer, and when I downloaded SolidWorks again and tried to open it without an internet connection, I received a license error. When I connected to the server and checked with the SolidWorks License Manager application, I saw that I had a license, but I can't get another license until the 30 days are up.
