POTY21 - AEOLIX: Sustainable Winturbine for Cities

POTY2021 POTY SOLIDWORKS 2021 ESILV AEOLIX FRANCE

AeoliX is a wind turbine designed and entirely produced by a group of six students in first year of engineering University (ESILV: Ecole Supérieur d'ingénieurs Léonard-de-Vinci).
Our wind turbine is sustainable and futuristic in design. I made several CAD prototypes in order to evaluate and optimize the recycling and the mass of materials. We were also very interested in the PLM of our wind turbine. Indeed, thanks to SOLIDWORKS we were able to model and then 3D print most of its parts in PETG. It is therefore 67% recycled and 100% recyclable. We have taken into account the possible configurations according to the need and that is why AeoliX is a modular wind turbine. Indeed, we can add a third floor and so on.
In addition, the wind turbine, due to its small size and well thought-out design, can be completely assembled and dismantled in less than 5 minutes.
In order to arrive at this final product, PDM was also essential. A good collaboration between the members of the team and also a good management of the tasks formed a whole to carry out this project in an efficient way.
AeoliX is therefore an innovative project, worked on over the course of a year, which we are proud to present to you. @CW @WC
