Failed Activation After Migration to New Laptop

Hello,

I followed the online instructions to migrate Solidworks to a new laptop by deactivating my copy of Solidworks on my old laptop, and when I tried to reactivate on my new laptop with my existing serial number, I got an error message, stating that my serial number had expired. 

When I went to the instructions online, it told me to download the latest version of SW, and when I ran the installer, it generated a new serial number for me. But when I tried to activate the 2024 version, it told me that I was not authorized to use SW 2024. The instructions also stated that if a later version of SW was installed, that my original serial number would not activate.

At this point, I have uninstalled all versions of SW so I can start the install with a clean slate.

I purchased Solidworks last July of 2023, so my license should be good until July 2024.
