I´m working on an electron gun and I´m using the Particle tracker (CST 2022) to simulate the trajectories of the produced electrons. In this gun layout, I need to incorporate a finely detailed grid from CATIA into the gun design.

The grid is 40x40 mm and has a thickness of around 50 microns. Each rectangular hole in the grid has a size of 15x15 microns with a spacing of 3 micron, resulting in 4.9 million holes. While loading the STEP file with the (MODELING -> IMPORT -> STEP-FILE) option, the process just stops at around 90%, without crashing CST.

What could be the cause of this problem? Would it be helpful to run the file on a computer with a higher computing power?
