I need some help to get the compass programs here working again. After I installed the recent quarterly update, the programs stopped working giving this error "unable to retrieve install data”. I included a picture. It's limited just to this computer but it is all of the compass programs that reside on this computer for all the roles. Dashboards and 100% webpage bast things wtill work fine. I have another computer where the compass programs are working fine. 

I'd like to fix this problem if it's possible since I'd rather use this computer, at least for some of the programs. When I installed the recent update, it didn't ask for administrator credentials. also, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling everything after it was obvious that something went wrong. There is an older version of solidworks on here also, though I think that shouldn't be breaking everything. Is there anything more that I can do about this apart from erasing and reinstalling everything on the computer? I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling Java and all the compass software.
