I have modelled the CLT slab as a solid and used composite layup to assign ply layers 40-20-40-20-40 with the span direction in bold. Its a 160mm deep slab with 4m span and 5m width. I applied a 4.66kN/M2 pressure load to the plate and modelled it as pinned on both edges as shown below. I have meshed it using a continuum shell mesh and get a deflection= 6.026mm but from hand calcs/ CLT design software the deflection should be 5mm. Any ideas what could be going wrong? There also seems to be max deflection at the edges of the slab which doesn't seem right as shown below. Any help would be much appreciated
