SLS, Single Lap Shear

The images above show the undeformed shape and deformed shape of a Single Lap Shear (SLS) specimen, followed by the forces on the displaced nodes.  The deformed shape is magnified 10x. This model was created from the WS4 DCB .cae file.   The max time of 0.1 secs is equal to the applied displacement at the right end in mm.

The attached zip file contains several .cae files and a variety of runs.  The runs varied the mesh bias (thus number of elements) and the viscosity.  There is a "README" file in the zip file that summarizes some of the statistics about the run times.  The fastest running model ran in 46 secs on my laptop.  It contained 1788 total elements; 1728 cpe4i elements for the beams and 60 coh2d4 elements for the adhesive layer.
