Simple fe-safe Workshop to get you started :) Lug Design Workshop #4 - fe-safe

If you have the SIMULIA Academic Research or Teaching Suites at your institution and you would like to get started using the fe-safe fatigue and durability package, here is a simple step-by-step workshop example that will show you how to:-

use fe-safe to open an Abaqus .odb; specify material fatigue properties and run a simple load history to determine the number of Repeats. Then examine the effect on life of using a more durable material.

If you were successful with the first, second and third workshops in this series, the Simple Abaqus Workshop (https://swym.3ds.com/#post:38837) and the Simple Tosca Structure Workshops (https://swym.3ds.com/#post:38875) and (https://swym.3ds.com/#post:38917) then you will already have created and saved the input deck needed for this Workshop. If you are jumping straight in to the Workshop series here don't fear, we have attached the necessary Abaqus input deck 'ShapeOpt_surface.inp' to this post.

This is the last in this series of Workshops.
