This video demonstrates how an engineering template in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform can streamline the hex meshing process for brake rotors. The workflow begins with placing a “dumb” geometry under an assembly. Once the template is instantiated, a new part with a FEM representation is automatically created. The user-friendly interface prompts key geometry selections, and the rotor is meshed in seconds using a combination of advanced techniques: Partition Hex Mesher, 3D Sweep Mesher, Symmetry Mesh, and Rotation Mesh. Thanks to parameterized control, remeshing with different mesh sizes takes just a few clicks—enabling rapid iterations and consistent results.
