Have you ever wanted to make your Abaqus analyses run faster? Or maybe you have a limited SIMULIA token pool and want to run your analysis using the least number of tokens?
Of course you have!
Watch the eSeminar video below for:
- Information on the SIMULIA licensing schemes. Learn what licenses run which SIMULIA Portfolio products and how many tokens are used.
- How to make your Abaqus analysis run faster or use less tokens for FREE!
- Best practices
- Abaqus analysis settings
- Computer configurations
- What hardware you can buy to make your Abaqus analysis run faster.
- How to save over 60% on licensing by combining Isight and Abaqus to perform design studies.
- A comparison between running analyses in series on an HPC vs. in parallel on workstations.

Clarifications/Corrections to the video:
- GPUs look like additional CPU cores with Abaqus licensing following the curve shown in the licensing portion. At lower CPU core counts, each GPU used adds a solver token just like each additional core.
- fe-safe needs 7 Extended Tokens to run a fatigue analysis.
- Tosca needs a minimum of 5 Extended Tokens to run a linear optimization not counting the FEA solver.
- Isight needs 1 Extended Token to run an Abaqus DOE. It is possible to run some simple loops using 0 tokens for Isight.
- In the example of Isight savings with an Abaqus analysis using 10 tokens, the total token usage for an Isight DOE is 5 tokens (1 for Isight + 4 for Abaqus).
Remember that speed improvements are analysis dependent. Try techniques on your own models to verify their effectiveness.
