We all have a favorite. The one simulation that is not only technically sound but also beautiful to look at. Or maybe it's a simulation that illustrates a difficult concept while making you smile at the same time. Or maybe it simply inspires you. Whatever it is, we all have that one simulation that has us thinking of it over and over again.

So, what's your favorite simulation? Tell the community about it for your chance to win a SIMULIA goodie bag containing earbuds, a stainless steel tumbler, a notebook & pen and a SIMULIA bag!

How to Enter

Choose your favorite simulation created with SIMULIA software (make sure that you have permission to post about it!*)

Create a post that contains the following information:

  • An image or short animation of your favorite simulation
  • An explanation of why you like this simulation
  • An explanation of whether you were solely responsible for creating this simulation or, if not, what your role was in the creation process
  • Use the hashtag: FavoriteSimulation

You have until 9am (CEST) July 7 to get your entry in!

How to Win

Now the good stuff! There are 2 prizes up for grabs for this competition:

  • Most likes: the post with the most likes at the end of the voting phase (July 21 2021, 9:00 CEST). Likes can be added at any time.
  • Most comments: the post that has the most comments submitted during the voting phase (July 7 2021 9:01 CEST to July 21, 9:00 CEST). Only comments submitted in the voting phase will be counted. Each visitor is limited to one comment per entry.

What If My Favorite Simulation Was Created by Someone Else?

If your favorite simulation was created by someone else, you can form a team where you create the post content and they endorse the entry.

Additional items for a team entry include:

  • Your post must contain an explanation of the role of each member of the team. It is permitted for one member of the team to be responsible for writing the entry post without having been involved in the creation of the simulation.
  • The team member who does not create the post must:
    • request to become an author
    • add the comment ‘Endorsed’ to the post to certify their involvement

Tips

  • To create a post you will need to be an 'author'. Press the 'Become an author' link in the right hand side bar.
  • Your explanation doesn't have to be long. Often shorter descriptions are more persuasive!
  • How to create and format a post: read this wiki page for tips about your post creation
  • If you have any questions, reach out to me either on this post or in a 'conversation'

Rules

The competition rules are available on this wiki page. Please read through them. Creating a post with the hashtag FavoriteSimulation will be taken as Participation in the Competition as explained in the rules.

*Do not post anything that you created in the course of your work without the permission of your employer
