New 3DEXPERIENCE Tutorial: Using Submechanisms in a Mechanism Assembly

As part of the R2025x GA user assistance, SIMULIA R&D created a 3DEXPERIENCE tutorial that illustrates how to use submechanisms to assemble different mechanical parts of a mini excavator. In this excavator model, hydraulic actuators are connecting the boom, the stick, and the bucket of the excavator. Each actuator is a subproduct of the main excavator product. Your objective is to create a mechanism assembly between the main excavator product and the boom, stick, and bucket subproducts.

To complete this example yourself, you must have access to the Motion Analyst, Suspension Analyst app, or Motion Engineer app. Once you have access to one of these apps, see Using Submechanisms in a Mechanism Assembly to get started.

The 3DEXPERIENCE Simulation Examples Team would like to hear your ideas for new examples. If you have an idea, please leave a comment below so that the team can contact you. The team also welcomes feedback on any of its existing examples.
