New 3DEXPERIENCE Example: Organizing the Test Data Related to the Design of the Bracket

A new example entitled “Organizing the Test Data Related to the Design of the Bracket” is available with the R2024x FD01 user assistance. This example teaches you how to use the test management apps: Validation and Verification Library, Validation and Verification Strategy, and Test Results Capture to develop a test protocol, capture test results, and select an optimal material for the design and manufacture of a new bracket.

This test protocol determines the best material and geometry for a bracket model to resist loading forces. In this example, you use the mass and the factor of safety (FOS) as criteria to decide whether tests pass or fail.

It is important to capture and organize the details of your tests for many reasons, including traceability. In most industries, there is a need to know the background behind certain product design decisions. If an engineer leaves the company, the 3DEXPERIENCE platform retains the vital testing information related to the product's design. To learn more and to complete the example for yourself, see Organizing the Test Data Related to the Design of the Bracket.

The 3DEXPERIENCE Simulation Examples Team would like to hear your ideas for new examples. If you have a workflow idea with an IP-free 3D XML model (if applicable), please leave a comment so the team can contact you. The team also welcomes feedback on any of its existing simulation examples.
