New 3DEXPERIENCE Example: Natural Frequency Evaluation of a Pipe Segment

SIMULIA R&D has created another simulation example to share with you as part of the R2024x FD04 release.

This example guides you through using the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and the Linear Structural Validation app to define and run a frequency simulation that evaluates the natural frequencies and mode shapes of a pipe segment. The pipe segment is attached to a pump, and your objective is to determine whether any of the pipe segment’s natural frequencies are within the operating range of the pump.

By completing this example, you learn how to:

  • Apply common simulation features, such as boundary conditions and materials.
  • Define and run a frequency simulation.
  • Analyze natural frequencies and mode shapes.

To try this example for yourself, see Natural Frequency Evaluation of a Pipe Segment.
