SIMULIA R&D has created another 3DEXPERIENCE simulation example to share with you as part of the R2024x FD01 release.
This example guides you through using the Mechanical Scenario Creation app to define and run a structural simulation for an automotive suspension control arm. It also teaches you how to use the Design Exploration app to perform a nonparametric optimization to modify the control arm’s design and explore several design alternatives to achieve more desirable simulation results.
By completing this example, you learn how to:
- Create an initial simulation for use in a design exploration.
- Define a design improvement study to search for an improved model design.
- Use controls and objectives to revise a model's topology.
- Create a CAD model based on the revised topology.
To try this example for yourself, see Design Exploration of an Automotive Suspension Control Arm.
