A “Combination Product”, according to the Code of Federal Regulations, is a product that involves two or more regulated components packaged either together or separately, such as a medical device and a drug. With the advent of physics-based, virtual human models combined with connected micro and macro simulation tools on a common platform, combination devices and pharmaceutical therapeutics can be studied in-silico and only the best design outcomes be put forth in clinical trials.
