Part-2 DOE Study on the Honeycomb Panel

This video focuses on capturing the specifics of the honeycomb abaqus model in Isight and iterating that model through a structured design study. The sandwich panel properties depend on a number of parameters like the cell size, core wall thickness and strength of the web material. To analyze the effect of these parameters on the sandwich panel behavior, we will run an Optimal Latin Hypercube DOE study on the honeycomb sandwich model.

Post DOE execution, we will use the visualization tools in Isight to interpret and analyze the results. We will use tools like correlation maps, scatter plots, self-organizing maps and pareto charts to spot correlations between the parameters in our study and understand the design space effectively.
