The Surface mesher allows you to create advanced surface meshes for 2D and 3D geometries. It can be found in the Advanced Meshing workbench of SIMULIA V6. It is commonly used in ExSight.
You can mesh the geometry's surface with triangle and/or quadrangle elements (linear or parabolic) using the surface mesher. The Surface mesher is associated with a surface mesh workbench that contains a set of tools including:
-- add local specifications,
-- edit the topology or the mesh manually,
-- browse unmeshed domains, and more.
Once you have defined a surface mesh, you can use the Tetrahedron Filler to generate a 3D mesh using linear or parabolic tetrahedron elements.
