Welcome to the June SIMULIA newsletter. This newsletter round-up brings you the latest news and updates from the SIMULIA portfolio.
The SIMULIA portfolio has seen several recent significant additions and enhancements:
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD): A major update to our Fluid Dynamics Engineer role on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. The new features put powerful CFD simulation technology in a user-friendly interface integrated into industrial workflows and allow designers and engineers to use CFD tools more effectively and easily.
Multi-body System Dynamics (MBS): New roles, Motion Engineer and Motion Analyst, that bring SIMULIA MBS technology to the platform and enable unified modeling and simulation (MODSIM) workflows.
Electromagnetics and Vibro-acoustics: SIMULIA Manatee can assess the noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) simulation of electrical machines. In this newsletter, you'll find webinars and articles introducing these tools.
In addition, we have our webinar series on electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). Electronic devices must pass EMC certification in order to enter the market, and designers need to identify EMC issues as early as possible to allow them to be quickly resolved and avoid the risk of failing certification. These webinars show how simulation can be used to perform virtual EMC testing to find and resolve problems before prototyping begins.
Other topics include an interview with Dr. Puneet Mahajan, Professor at IIT-Delhi on wind turbine simulation; blog articles on packaging design, automotive noise and medical device certification; and the last part of our Abaqus in a Nutshell webinar series.
