A new simulation example entitled “Structural Analysis of a Bracket” is available with the R2023x FD01 release of the User Assistance. This example teaches you how to save a SOLIDWORKS part (shown in the image) to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and create a structural simulation using the Linear Structural Validation app.
You begin the example by saving the bracket geometry directly from SOLIDWORKS Connected to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Next, you open Linear Structural Validation and create a structural simulation. You apply boundary conditions to secure the bracket as if it were mounted. You also apply a pressure load to simulate the loading condition that the bracket experiences. After you run the simulation, you review the stress and factor of safety (FOS) distributions to ensure that the bracket is safe from material yielding.
To learn more and to complete the example for yourself, see Structural Analysis of a Bracket.
The 3DEXPERIENCE Simulation Examples team would like to hear your ideas for new examples. If you have a workflow idea that aligns with our business goals and IPEs, in addition to an IP-free 3D XML model (if applicable), please leave a comment so the team can contact you. The team also welcomes feedback on any of its existing simulation examples.
