3DEXPERIENCE Simulation Example: "Particle Flow in a Cyclone Separator"

SIMULIA R&D has a new fluids-based physics simulation example to share with you as part of R2023x FD02. In this example, titled Particle Flow in a Cyclone Separator, you learn how to use the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to define and run a transient, particle-flow simulation. After running the simulation, you visualize the flow of particles and the development of vortices by creating animations, and you analyze the flow velocity and separation efficiency (that is, the fraction of particles that the dust collector traps) of the cyclone separator.

This example requires the following apps:

  • Fluid Model Creation
  • Fluid Scenario Creation
  • Physics Results Explorer

To try this example, see Particle Flow in a Cyclone Separator.
