SIMULIA R&D has another great, fluids-based physics simulation example to share with you as part of R2023x FD02. In this example, titled Airflow Past a Rotating Propeller, you learn how to use a multiple reference frames (MRF) zone to define and run a steady-state, external flow simulation. After running the simulation, you visualize and analyze the velocity, pressure, and streamline contours of the airflow moving past the propeller, as well as the forces and moments on the propeller’s blades.
This example requires the following apps:
- Fluid Model Creation
- Fluid Scenario Creation
- Physics Results Explorer
To try this example, see Airflow Past a Rotating Propeller.
