What to expect after the update

The first time you launch SOLIDWORKS Design (formerly known as SOLIDWORKS Connected) after the update, you will be given the option to update to the latest version of SOLIDWORKS Apps or continue using your currently installed version. You will have two weeks (until March 7th) to perform the update. Starting on March 8th, upgrading the 3DEXPERIENCE platform components will be mandatory to continue using SOLIDWORKS Design.**

The 3DEXPERIENCE platform access URL will remain the same.

From the Compass, click on the app context menu to display the currently installed version. A red update icon indicates that an update is required. A green update icon indicates that a supplemental update is available to install at any time. See the Installing/Uninstalling Desktop Apps Using the Compass from the Cloud page of the User Assistance for more information.
