Dear Makers Users,

As you all aware about the "JAVA Runtime Environment" was one of the prerequisite to install SOLIDWORKS Connected or SOLIDWORKS Visualize Connected application for R2022x FD02 and previous versions. While installing these software, everyone used to get  "JAVA Runtime Environment" installation warning if "JDK/JRE 11.0.8" was not installed previously as mentioned in [Enhancements for MAKERS] Java Runtime Environment Prompt post.

Because of this we had several requests from users to remove JRE installation.

We are happy to share with you all, from R2022x FD03 JAVA Runtime Environment is no longer the prerequisite for SOLIDWORKS Connected / SOLIDWORKS Visualize Connected / Any 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS for Makers applications.

Once R2022x FD03 installed, "IEF Client Workspace Service" will be replaced by "PLM Collaborative Services Adapter Client" as shown in image. For more information please refer User Assistance R2022x​​​​​​​. So, "PLM Collaborative Services Adapter Client" runs along with "3DEXPERIENCE PLM Services".
