We Built a Greenhouse Over Our Back Entrance!

Spring has sprung in New England. It's time to pull out the shovels and spades and spruce up the garden. For us, it is time to spiff up the green house we built a few years ago to go over the back entrance to our basement. It let us utilize a space that would have otherwise been an eyesore and wasted space. Now, we can start our seedlings indoors in late winter, harden them off in the greenhouse early spring and give them an advantage before planting them in the garden surrounding the greenhouse. here is how we used SOLIDWORKS to get the best possible design.

We started with a fence around the garden.

Then a few years later, we replaced the bulkhead entry to our basement with a greenhouse. Using SOLIDWORKS to design the structure gave us the opportunity to quickly generate a cut list of all the lumber we needed.
