The Gimbal project - 3D printing - part 4

The printing process

Here in Vélizy we have two kinds of printers :

-         - Extrusion : 3x Cubify Cube 3D printer (version 1& 2) :  http://cubify.com/en/Products/Cube2TechSpecs

-         - Stereolithography : 1x  Formlab 1 :  http://formlabs.com/fr/produits/form-1-plus/

 

I chose the "Extrusion technology " (Fused deposition modeling) for the gimbal manufacturing. See the result below :

 

Here is the 3D printed camera, obviously it's not functionnal at all but the weight is close to the one of the real camera. Therefore setting will fit both cameras (real and fake)

Here is the motor's bracket, screw-nuts are installed in their hexagon holes

 

Here are the supports for the batteries

 

Here are fakes vibration mounting

 

Those are real vibration and shock mounting, it protects electronic equipment from high vibrations
