Team Pegasus - Drone Model For Phase-2

Please find attached the 3D model of the drone designed for phase 2 of the competition. The entire drone is created in X-Design, from the very beginning to the end.

Plan for making the Drone:

  • The main supporting elements for the motor are two aluminium channels
  • A T-Joint is created between both the aluminium channels and supports are added at the intersection corners
  • A 3D Printed base plate supports the above mentioned arrangement
  • It also contains a main groove for placing the battery
  • The battery stays under the aluminium channels that support the motor so that the Center of Gravity stays low and the drone remains more stable
  • For controller and receiver modules, we are planning to add a clicking mechanism (Thin Extruded supports on both sides of the module with protrusion at the end)
  • The upper dome / covering is divided into 4 parts in order to satisfy the 220x220mm space constraint of the 3D Printer
  • All the 4 domes have two supports in the interior for being able to fasten all 4 of them together
  • This unified dome is then to be placed on the aluminium channels and fastened

[Note: We need to make minor changes to the model before 3D printing the parts]
