This project is way overdue. We moved a couple of years ago. I had made a table for our TV, but it does not fit in the new space. The old one was made for old style CRT TVs and was massive. The resulting TV, Switch, Cable Box and Blu Ray clutter is not good.

It starts with a sketch. This is how I captured the concept and the rough dimensions. Old school but effective.
Layout in Creator
I built a rough model of the room to see how it would fit in space. Getting the proportions right is critical to getting the look right.
First cut , it was pretty tall
Final design
I added a lot of detail to plan out the joinery. This took some time, but reduced mistakes as the build progressed.
Detail Drawings
It is convenient to work off paper in the shop. Drawings are essential.
The Build
I did not take many photos of the build, but you can see that getting the joinery right in the planning helped a lot.
