I was struggling with uninstalling Solidworks as I kept getting error messages saying the folder was open in another program. I finally figured it out, and am posting the solution here to potentially save you hours of frustration.

Here are the steps that worked for me:

1) Search for Revo Uninstaller in your browser and download the free version on their website

2) Once opened, right-click the Dassault Systems 3D Experience Application

3) The 3DS uninstaller will pop up and ask you if you're sure you want to uninstall - just ignore this and click back onto the Revo Uninstaller window

4) Go through the uninstaller wizard, it may take a while to load but it will pick up all the files related to Solidworks, which you can then select and delete

5) Once you click through everything and press finish, you may have to restart your computer for the last files to be delete

When I restarted my PC all the files related to 3D Experience were gone.
