Hello Makers,
I'm currently working on a personal project to design and create a simple product that can improve our daily lives. We all know that the first crucial step in any project is defining the problem and understanding the user's needs. So, I'm reaching out to seek your input and feedback.
I understand that the idea and outcome of my project might be silly, but I'm eager to give it a shot and learn from any mistakes along the way. Your input would be invaluable in shaping this project.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could take a moment to read the following problem statement and comment your thoughts on the questions that follow. Alternately, you can also fill out the anonymous Google Forms to share your experiences. I have attached the link below (responses will be private, so you don’t need an email ID to submit)

Problem Statement:
In your kitchen, you likely have various food items that you use daily, such as milk, bread, cheese, fresh fruit, vegetables, and condiments like hummus, butter, or sauces.
The labels on these items often say things like "Best to consume within 1 week of opening," "Refrigerate after opening and use within 2 weeks," or "Best to consume within 3 weeks of opening."
Questions:
1) Do you frequently forget when you opened a carton of milk, a box of cheese, or a jar of sauce and placed it in the fridge?
2) Is it challenging for you to accurately keep track of the shelf life of multiple food items in your kitchen once they have been opened and partially consumed?
3) Do you find yourself wondering, "When did I first open this carton of milk? Was it 7 days ago or 10 days ago? When did I open this packet of cheese?
4) If you answered yes to the above questions, would it be helpful to have a simple handheld product (3D-printed) that can track the opening dates of all your food items, similar to a hand tally counter? What particular features would you prefer to be beneficial in this simple product?
Thank you, and I'm eager to hear your thoughts.
