Hello everyone. Here's my latest project as I continue using SOLIDWORKS to create 3D models of engineering concepts that are hard to find in online CAD libraries. A perovksite solar cell I designed in SOLIDWORKS - flat and foldable configurations.
But what exactly are perovskite cells? Perovskite solar cells represent a significant leap forward in solar energy technology due to their potential for high performance, low cost, and ease of fabrication. They could complement or even replace traditional solar technologies in the future, enabling faster deployment of renewable energy solutions.
Perovskite solar cells are a type of photovoltaic device that use a perovskite-structured compound as the light-absorbing material. The term "perovskite" refers to a class of materials with a crystal structure similar to calcium titanium oxide (CaTiO₃).
