Hey all, this is something I've had a few goes at and am happy to share now! I have created a finger jointed box generator in SOLIDWORKS designed to spit out finger jointed box panels to a laser cutter. 

This has been a fun little project because I (and a few friends) need some custom wood boxes, but also because I like to model in metric and a lot of American carpentry is in "Imperial" (nominal dimensions, not actual dimensions). Simply appending the correct units has them render in the space as needed.

Using some basic configurations, you can create through holes for mounting hardware or hinges, slots, and so on. I'll be uploading the file to 3DDrive soon to share with everyone. I hope you can get some great mileage out of it!
