I was recently in touch with Nathan Longoria who got in touch to request some enhancements to MakeByMe (we just added square metal tubing on his request - see the video below). He runs a vocational and life skills program for a juvenile probation department in a small town outside of San Antonio TX. They do welding, woodworking, plumbing, electrical, and general construction classes to teach skills to kids.
Recently they have been using MakeByMe to design some awesome projects including the below storage system. The kids have really enjoyed using MakeByMe, learning new skills and found it super useful using MakeByMe features such as the auto generated cut list in the MakeByMe plans. The kids have requested various further enhancements some of which we're already working on. Keep up the create mentoring Nathan, and look forward to seeing more great creations made by your and the kids on your program 👊
Its great to see MakeByMe being used to teach kids new skills in design and making, helping them put a troubled beginning behind them and forge a new future for themselves.
Check out the metal square tubing we just added, including a project from Nathan.
