I would like to share my latest project. Soon I will be travelling to Brisbane and staying with some friends who live there. I wanted to get them a present and thought it would be nice to create something myself using our amazing Lab.

Data was sourced from qGIS. Splitting out what I needed into layers took some practice but made it easier to bring into the laser cutting software
The lower layer was just an outline of the river (so I know where to paint)
Upper layer was the street layout with the river and parks cut through
Machine hard at work
Koncking out the tiny parks and river took some time. Then some enamel paint was added
Final product glued together and was clamped over the weekend
