When it is cold and too dangerous to ride outside, but you don’t want to lose your fitness over the winter, it is time to bring the Kickr Core into the living room. Training “in a tight corset” is tough though, and it starts to hurt when you ride longer than two hours. A rocker plate under the trainer can give some relief, but it is heavy and bulky.
So, as a DIY solution, I gave the trainer “legs” saddled on tennis balls, allowing it to wiggle a bit while riding through the training plan. When I first saw the setup in action, I was hoping for a noticeable improvement, but to be honest, the effect is barely there. Maybe the tennis balls are still too firm and just need to wear in a bit. Here are some pictures and a video:
