Hello all,

As December festivities already take place, you may all have decided to decorate your home or office with a mighty Christmas tree 🎄

In Industrial Equipment industry team, we have decided to go for the reusable option. But instead of a classic plastic tree (which needs almost 20 years of usage to compensate carbon footprint with a natural one), we looked at another material : cardboard and bio-based resin paint !

The model was designed with xDesign app. It consists of 6 pine tree-like panels assembled around 3 clamping disks.

Thanks to the providential help from 3DEXPERIENCE Fablab in Velizy we could manufacture our panels with the CNC laser-cutter.

Once cut and assembled, let's paint ! In order to prevent bends and crinkles, we apply our water-based paint with a slight coated roll, and work delicately.

Once dry and pressed to keep the flat shape, our Tannenbaum is looking awesome and ready to decorate !
