Hear is my homemade Sppataring-rig.

Good day, everyone.

My aim was to produce silver plates for daguerreotypes—a 19th-century photographic process—without employing electrolytic plating.

This led me to explore sputtering technology. I determined that high-quality sputtered silver requires a dedicated vacuum chamber capable of containing plasma under high vacuum.

Consequently, I designed a chamber using SolidWorks Connected and collaborated with a Chinese vacuum equipment manufacturer to fabricate it. The video demonstrates the resulting apparatus.

Presented also are some daguerreotypes created using the fabricated silver plates.
