It all started with a simple problem, that could have a simple solution. My house is in "Historic" district of my town. Which means if I need solar panels, it can't be visible from the street.
So I started to model the garage roof. To see what area can possibly be used for solar panels.
Before I realized, I was pulled into creating a virtual twin of my house. Starting from ground, every single dimension, every single window, door, railings, steps - everything is to the scale created using 3D Creator.
Here is the result so far. This is not complete yet, interior needs to be completed, plus I need to add finishing touches (sidings, trims, etc.), though, it is in a state where I think I can share it with you. Only question remaining is if I will be able to find time to finish it.
I can claim that I know my house better than I did before. Why certain things are the way they are. I had original architectural diagrams, and things were changed while it was being built. While creating this 3D Model I realized if architects had used a 3D Modeler, they would not have made those mistakes in the first place.
Hope you will enjoy it as much I enjoyed creating it.
PS: @AV even while creating this design, I had faced the issue of missing bi-directional linear pattern. Thankfully @SL and @AM where kinder to me, and they delivered this functionality in 3D Creator. :)
Here is the 3D Model, I will suggest to use "Shades with edges except the smooth edge" option, that is my favorite way to view most of models including this one.

I tried two options for panels on walls - both are displayed here, possibly I won't go with either. :)
