GoBuggy V1 | Story

Hello everyone,

I will tell you the experience and process we had in our first hobby vehicle, which we created in a short time like 2 months, in chapters.

How did this idea first come about, how did the story begin, I will explain them in this chapter.

As in every project, this project started with a dream. Throughout this series, I will tell you about these steps of Imagine, Design, Collaborate and Make and the entire process involved.

After meeting 3D Printers, color came to my life. I've learned not to be content with just designing anymore. The experience and feedback I gained at the end of each project added more excitement to me and made me dream that I could do more. This project is one of them.

I'm sure this won't be the last.

Dream & Goal

In mid-2021 I asked myself the question: Can I build myself a car?

I created various designs in my head and imagined the car.

I dreamed of printing the outer shell of the vehicle with a 3D printer.

But I wanted to make this car at home. I wanted it to consist of simple parts that were not as complicated as possible.

Towards the end of 2021

I decided to turn this project into a collaboration project and explained my idea to @MS We expressed many ideas about the project. With this step, Murat Şen was the first to be involved in the project.

August 2022

I excitedly told my manager @EC about the project. He liked the project very much. He asked us to detail our goals in this project and the features of the car and give him a presentation.

I designed a draft car for the presentation.

Presentation & Project Idea

Go-Kart: Go-karts also do not have a suspension system and the vehicle is made as close to the ground as possible. The purpose of this is to make it go fast. Another purpose is to make the user feel all the vibration on the asphalt.

Buggy: Buggy, on the other hand, is a terrain-oriented vehicle and is high from the ground. It also has a suspension system to increase driving comfort.

Idea:

The idea of making a hybrid car by combining the two came up.

Features of the car:

A weldless chassis
A shell that can be 3D printed piece by piece
Disassembled design

We received support approval to realize the project.

This is how the story started. In the next section, I'll talk about why we chose 3DEXPERIENCE and how the rest of the team (@HK ve @ET) got involved.
