Episode 3: Advancing the Custom NAS Case Design with SOLIDWORKS xDesign

The journey continues! 🚀 In Episode 3 of my design series, I’m tackling the next steps in creating a custom computer case for a NAS using SOLIDWORKS xDesign.

Here’s what I covered:
🔧 Designed fittings and bosses for perfect part connections.
📐 Added markings like V-shaped and H-shaped features to simplify assembly.
🚀 Removed external references to ensure a stable and 3D-printable design.
✅ Fixed dimensions, resolved clearance issues, and strengthened the overall assembly.
😅 Overcame real-world challenges, including broken parts and tight fits!

With the structure almost ready, I’m preparing for 3D printing and gearing up to secure the hard drives in the next episode.
