Recently, our colleague, @SF, designed a guitar with a lattice face in the 3DEXPERIENCE Lab. He had an idea to engrave our lab's logo on the head stock.
It's not always straight forward to engrave on existing finished woodstock. You can't guarantee the saturation, coloration, the positioning, nor the flatness. So I did some test engravings on hidden parts of the guitar so that I could lock-in the perfect power, speed, and frequency of the laser. After a few tests and a strategically placed shim, I was able to get it done!
