I found these cool connectors from PlayWood.it, they allow you to build DIY furniture without the need for creating joints, drilling, screws, etc.

When the connectors arrived I mocked them up in 3D Creator with xDesign to help define the design intent of the desk.

A parametric sketch in xDesign enabled me to define the height, width and depth to fit my existing desk. With that I was able to use the connectors to automatically get the correct sizes for the wood.

The finished result looked pretty good in xDesign using the new materials!
