DRONE WARRIOR


We, the Drone Warrior team designed a robust and durable drone by considering the below design criteria.

  1. Low Drag: The drone external top surface has a streamlined profile, which results in low drag (resistance to forward movement against the wind direction). A video of CFD aerodynamic analysis using our SIMULIA 3DX tool is also attached.
  2. Energy Efficient: The top surface has a solar panel, which in turn supplies power to drone in addition to battery.
  3. Visibility: There is a LED blinker at the center, which will blink (optional) while drone is flying.
  4. Traceability: This drone also has a GPS module to track its flying location.
  5. Design: The drone chassis or frame design is optimized to have less weight.
  6. Features: Camera is fitted by means of a Gimbal which enables two axes of rotation to capture most of the arena.
  7. Usability: There is a battery charge indicator, which enables the user to check the charge level.


Applications:

The major applications include surveillance, disaster relief, medical emergency transport such as blood units, to sense the ambient conditions at places where manual intervention is limited (ex: underground mining area) and in agriculture as well.
