Drill Press Depth Stop/Gauge Modification

I've been building out my home shop slowly but surely, and yesterday's project had a few firsts for me!

First, my new Grizzly G0925 drill press included a depth stop holder and chip shield, but it made the tool unwieldy, and most importantly the peg for the depth stop didn't fit into the actual included kit.

I fired up SOLIDWORKS and did a few iterations. I printed the piece in Prusament PC Blend, which worked MAGNIFICENTLY on my Prusa Mini. I've had a batch of heat-set inserts lying around for a few weeks waiting for a project and this one was it! The entire setup works as intended.

The biggest flaw with the hardware provided (besides the fact that it doesn't fit) is that you cannot have both the jam nut in *and* the full stroke of the drill press. Since this is pretty bog standard M10 hardware, I may just pick up some threaded rod for a full replacement and upgrade.

I'm really looking forward to my home workshop filling out and keeping the updates coming!
