hi
Some small connection parts of my lower tray dishwasher are breaking as they becomes old. they allow to change the tray layout. there are 6 of them and 3 of them are broken.
I look for replacement parts but they are not available stand alone :-(. you need to purchase the full lower tray for 70€. his is a waste since I do not need the full tray but the connection parts.
Then I think the FABLAB could help me to 3DPRINT some replacement parts !!
nevertheless there are some technical issue, and would like some help from experts !
- the part is small : included in a 3,5x2,5x1.5 volume: is this an issue to replicate some area of this part which are about 1 mm. note some of dimension or thickness can be increased to enhance mechanical resistance.
- the parts have to resist to temperatures up to 90°C. will the material used for 3DPrinting resist to such temperatures ?
The I need some help to redesign the part in a 3D design software or to 3DScan an existing part. I can learn but would like some guidance to start well ;-) .
Your expertise will be welcomed to help me in this project.
now design into CATIA V5 !!! (thanks to Bertrand Faure)
as printed this morning : in blue ...going to test it tonight ...
After 4 iterations (see below comment for details) : it is all good !! the part is in operation:
and a video showing the motion it allows.
